Tourney help required!

Emailed Pokerstars support as I couldn't see how to set up a private tourney after making my $50 deposit.Prompt reply to say that I need to be a premium player with 2000 fpp before I can do such a thing.

After the Royal Vegas fiasco last weekend I was hoping this would be nice and simple.Wrong!

Is there anyone out there who does have the player points required at Pokerstars to be able to set it up? I did mention in my email to them that it was for a mini blogger tourney.Maybe if Trip asked them nicely they may make an allowance for us.( afterall they did award Trip the Daily Best Blogger award in the run up to the blog tourney they ran).

Between that and Juice saying he wasn't sure about playing this Sunday I was starting to wonder if it was all more trouble than its worth.

Then I got a grip. What's a few emails and calls to support when the pot at the end of the rainbow will be the chance to get round the table with some of my blogger friends from all over the world...... and then take their money!

"We shall not fail or falter; we shall not weaken or tire...Give us the tools and we will finish the job".First Churchill quote of this blog and probably not the last.

Hell it seems it would be easier to arrange to "fight them on the beaches" than set up a simple private sng.Mind you having seen Gcox's photo I don't think anyone would want to fight him on a beach. Not this little acorn anyway lol.

Jordan from High on Poker suggested awarding points and a possible sidepot and while I like the idea I'd just like to get us all round a table a couple of times first before possibly looking at that.

Once we have a set time and venue and a flexible semi regular playing pool I'm sure things will all run far more smoothly.

Didn't play much last night after getting back from visiting my Gran.I was sure I'd just tilt my $50 at Pokerstars away in sheer frustration so I played a $5 sng at Pokerroom and went out when I got bored and pushed with KQ v 88 and never improved.

Won $6 in 1/2 hour at $1 nl for a whopping 50c profit.

Sat down to watch Wsop 2005 coverage on Challenge tv but it wasn't the main event but a side circuit one.Eric Lindgren lost in a bad beat to Harry Tran at he end.Didn't feel that sorry for Mr Lindgren as Harry Tran had called in sick to his work just to be at the final table and I'd love to do that myself one day so he had my support.

Will Wonka left me an interesting comment on my last post about not seeing my bankroll ( so long as it covers the level I'm at) as real money and more as poker chips and I have to say I still struggle with that.Maybe just part of my tightass Scottish nature but I do always like to record a winning session and at weekends have been known to keep playing until 6 or 7 am sometimes just to pull back a losing session.

I even mentioned a while back cutting down on the "I won 50c/ lost $13 "posts on this blog but never stuck to my word.Maybe I subconsiously play better when I know my fellow bloggers will be reading about how I've done.Of course how you play in a session doesn't always relate to profit/loss and I'd do well to remember that sometimes.

Pissed off that I've wrecked my Pokertracker.I mentioned I'd accidentally replaced it with a PT update patch and it was frustrating last night at Pokerroom not to be able to see if I'd played with some of the players previously.

Anymore players wanting to play on Sunday please let me know.Likewise if anyone has any site suggestions etc.

We will make this happen!

Hell with it. We don't have to have a private table. We'll just time it out like we used to do and jump on a normal SNG table. At least that way there might actually be some other dead money at the table besides just mine.

Holler at me on Sunday, I'll be ready.

I think you are overcomplicating here Acorn.

Juice,
50% is the "usual" for the tables I like.I'm usually around 20-25% but that can be lower or higher depending on the cards dealt and my postion when I get 'em.

Is it working for you?Thats what counts.

Chipper, I've just posted about your offer.Much appreciated.Welcome to the game.Lets see what feedback I get and take it from there.

Listen out on Sunday G.I'll be a hollerin'!
